Randy Jones
As the Team Leader of The Jones Group, Randy Jones has been in the real estate industry on the Outer Banks since 2000. He has seen the ups and downs of the market and has come through with a comprehensive understanding of owning real estate on the Outer Banks.
Randy received his under graduate degree from UNC Wilmington and then moved on to Wake Forest University Law School. Randy’s love of the ocean and outdoor activities brought him to the Outer Banks to begin his law career. After 7 years as an attorney he transitioned to Real Estate, joining one of his former legal clients, BD&A, the largest developer on the OBX at the time. Over the years he has become extremely successful in large part due to his passion that developed as an attorney, to represent his clients to the best of the his ability, to listen to their needs, work with all parties, have the tough conversations and find a resolution that is in the best interest of his client. His negotiating skills put his clients in a position of strength.
Randy’s real estate experience not only includes representing residential and commercial buyers and sellers, but also includes personally owning both commercial and investment homes. Jones works in all markets but has specialize in the Luxury Rental market. His expertise, legal background, intimate knowledge of the local luxury market combined with the strength of Howard Hanna’s Homes of Distinction Program make him an invaluable resource for his clients.
In addition to enjoying outdoor activities Randy has been involved in various community organizations over the years. Surfing with his 3 kids, Ryan, Brayleigh and Reece, playing tennis in local tournaments, enjoying a good golf game and being involved in youth sports is where you’ll find him when he’s not assisting his clients.
Lynn Sherman
Lynn Sherman has been in the real estate industry on the Outer Banks since 2002 and a member of The Jones Group since 2013. With an intimate knowledge of the area and the sales process she has worked with business partner, Randy Jones, to focus their business on serving their clients.
Sherman grew up in Ohio and earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from The Ohio State University. Her love of the mountains drew her to Colorado for a short time before settling on the Outer Banks and starting her real estate career, first on the management and marketing side of the business and then moving on to sales in 2013. Lynn specializes in listings, marketing and developing systems for the team. She truly just wants to be of service to her clients. She acknowledges that a real estate transaction in today’s market can prove to be challenging. It is often that she repeats the wise advice from her dad, “See challenges as Challenges and Opportunities!” A mind-set shift that helps her move through the problems and with the help of knowledge and experience, see her clients through to a successful sale.
In her down time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her 3 kids, Maggie, Landon and Bella and their Border Collie, Roxy. Her first love is snow skiing but since mountains are in short supply on the Outer Banks, when she manages to find a little time to herself, she enjoys running, early mornings spent on the beach and reading.
